Founder & President
 The founder, Brian Gates, graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Graphics Technology specializing in Manufacturing Graphics. The degree combines CAD engineering and industrial design to create an extremely adaptable and competent designer.
He started in the design industry seven years ago designing universal remote controls. His designs and concepts were utilized by Kenwood, Radio Shack and several other high-end electronics retailers. In addition, his innovation and creativity secured two patents (7,209,116, 7,013,434) and several pending applications for a variety of products and processes.
He later co-founded a web design company called Intentin Design, specializing in web application development. The company has steadily grown and matured into a full service web design company. While Intentin Design was growing, he invented a product called CordOrder, which is used to organize and straighten cords. In developing the products marketing materials, packaging and brand identity, he realized his creative talents could be used across a variety of industries. With this realization and after developing diverse industry relationships, and gaining more valuable experience by working for companies such as Rand Worldwide, Northrop Grumman and Summers Murphy & Partners, he founded Design My Idea in October 2005.
Vice President of Marketing
 The Vice President of Marketing, Salem Honey, has been involved with building and managing small businesses for over 3 years with great success. Starting with an educational emphasis on Business management and psychology, Salem started his foray into business as a personal assistant to the President of a large loan company. Not only managing supplier and customer contacts, Salem was given responsibilites to design marketing strategies, create sales mediums and research product placement.
Moving up in the world, Salem successfully built a division within a residential painting company to become the Manager of the Year, holding the record for the largest branch in Utah. Following a promotion to district manager, Salem successfully trained branch managers in sales, marketing, employee mangement and production. Salems division focused on quality and ultimate customer satisfaction eventually becoming one of the most efficient teams in the country with sales ranked nationally in the top 20.
Salem's strengths are in getting things done, whether that be creative or otherwise. This varied background allows Salem to assist in product research and design, as well as marketing and sales planning.
