I am a first time Inventor how do I begin?
Design My Idea has created a section of our website devoted to helping inventors of all experience levels. We recommend reading our getting started guide in our Inventor Resources section. Are my ideas safe with Design My Idea?
Design My Idea holds your ideas with complete confidentiality. We will not disclose, share or compete with your ideas for any reason. As a member of the Better Business Bureau, with 100% satisfaction from clients and our willingness to sign your own NDA, your ideas are safe with Design My Idea.
How do I get started and what do you need from me?
First we will need a signed copy of a Non-Disclosure Agreement along with any images or sketches of your idea. Once these are received we will schedule a conference call to go over the current status of your project, timelines and goals. We will then provide you with a free estimate for all suggested services.
How much do your services cost?
Since each project is unique and has its own set of challenges, it is hard to provide a set price for each service due to project complexities. How do you bill for the projects?
We require half of the selected services fee prior to project start and the remaining half once we reach the middle point of the project. We accept all major credit cards through PayPal and allow clients to proceed one service at a time.
What do you mean by royalty-free?
All of our designs, artwork and improvements become property of the client to use and distribute as they see fit. The only rights we retain are the ability to use the completed project and any preliminary designs for the purpose of design competitions, future publications on design, educational purposes, and our portfolio.
Can you manufacture my idea?
Design My Idea focuses on designing and developing inventions, however through our years of experience we have developed a large network of manufacturers both stateside and abroad. We can help source your projects and provide you with quotes for production.
Can you license/market my idea?
We can provide you with all the necessary artwork, tools and a professional presentation to aid in the marketing of your idea. Design My Idea does not currently offer marketing services other than promotion through our monthly articles and portfolio. We do have access to two reputable licensers for house wares and beauty products that our clients can have access too.
What if the service we require is not listed?
